The Cantor Center for the Arts at Stanford University has opened a Walker Evans exhibit. And I must say it was fabulous! It is amazing that Stanford has such a great little museum with FREE admission!!
I especially love his depiction of the depression era New York subway. Under a false name and with a well hidden camera, Evans shot unsuspecting passengers during a three year period to produce this amazing series of photographs.
His coverage of the Great Depression is just unparalleled.
